Pennsylvania: Virtue, Liberty, and Independence

Autosave-File vom d-lab2/3 der AgfaPhoto GmbH

These photos were submitted by K. Martin of Pennsylvania.  Like that the MJ in question here in the first picture could either be Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson.

Both of these pictures are good examples of paying attention to architectural details.

The first picture has a nice Colonial feel to it and other than the flag, seems like it could be 200 years ago.  The second picture I like for the neon sign at Reading Terminal Market.

I like this photo for the candid moment.  Spontaneous and light-hearted.

In the first picture, a lot of people take a picture of the steps in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art since Rocky ran up those stairs.  What makes this picture better (to me anyways) is the bike in the foreground drawing you up the stairs.  I like the expression on the guy posing with the Rocky statue in the second picture.

This picture is interesting to me for the effect the solar flare caused and I was intrigued by the purple/pink fountain.  Was it caused by the sunlight or was something else going on?  The second picture just looks like a tranquil day in Rittenhouse Sq. (I think that is the location.  Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Nashville

No, I haven’t given up on the project.  Sorry for the long delay between posts.  Some personal things came up in my life and I got kind of sidetracked.

These pictures come from K. Leniski  from Tennessee.  In the first picture, what really drew my attention were the different posters and strong identity Nashville has with music (and not just country).  The second picture is good for its use of perspective and makes you feel like are at the playground.

The boots just scream country to me and grounds the picture in a location.

Good light on this picture and looks like she is having a blast with the leaves.
On a side note, hopefully you can visit redcross.org and donate.  The flooding in Nashville has been extremely severe and help you can give would be great.
